Our story
About us
A salon that opened recently, with twenty years of craft behind it. In the centre of Florence, Italy, a few steps from the Duomo.

A school,
not a course
Laura trained at the school of Pino Capasso and worked there for twenty years. Capasso was a Florentine master well known in the city: world champion at the Coupe du Monde in Paris in 1974, with a school he had run since 1960.
That school is where the method comes from, and you can still see it in every cut: structure before effect, foundation before fashion — kept current with what people ask for today.
Some of the team worked with her for years before following her here. They know each other’s way of working, and you can tell.
Who you will meet
The team
Laura
Owner
Trained at the school of Pino Capasso and worked for twenty years before opening her own salon. That is where the method comes from: structure before effect, foundation before fashion.
Chelsea
Hairdresser
American, and the person to ask for if you want to describe what you want in English. She works mostly on blonde and highlights.
Elona
Hairdresser
Colour and highlights, alongside Laura.
For English speakers
A hairdresser you can
actually talk to
Chelsea is American, and she is the person to ask for if you want to explain what you want in English. Not the few words a salon usually manages — the whole thing, the way you would describe it at home.
If you are here for a semester, or you have moved to Florence, or you are getting married in Tuscany: you can book knowing that "just a trim" will mean what you meant by it.

The salon
Green marble floors, carved mirror frames, a small sitting room by the entrance. You can see it from the street, on Via Bufalini, a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo.
By appointment, Monday to Saturday. Many salons in Italy close on Mondays — this one does not.
